Ramblings

This last week has been a helluva year, don't you think? Or is that just me?

Just me? Oh, ok.

Outside of beyond-the-norm work dramas, I've been getting a lot of background work done, including:

• Organisational structure is ready to go to the solicitor & accountant (including the rules of governance and so on) for fine-tuning before tBPG becomes more than words on a page (on a thousand pages)
• Same for The Greatest Band That Never Was including a virtual creative space for the project, legalities and so on
• Website updates (most of which are not front-end or are private pages)
• A lot of writing - from An Odd Romance to lyrics and poems to Devil in the Church and even a little on I Can't Cook Part II
• The Philosophy, Principals and Method

Yeah, I'm feeling a little worn down but oh so satisfied.

I even made it out into the yard today, and managed some drawing. The image here isn't that drawing though. It's an older sketch of Winona. I haven't finished my current drawings, nor scanned them, and I rather like this effort. What do you think of it? How's your week been?

Silence is golden... unless you're talking about toddlers, and then it's usually time to panic ...!
In my case, it's just busy. Since my last post, I have been:

• in hospital
• working full time with an hour drive each way
• parenting
• working on:
  • "An Odd Romance" (now ~10,000 words)
  • the BPG Philosophy, Principals and now Method
  • working on CareerPivot
• writing lyrics/poetry
• looking to find testers for Sparkles (yes, still looking. Costs nothing, could bring you lots of benefits.)
• drawing (will post soon... maybe!)

and catching up with friends and family.

It's been a little hectic. But so worth it. And I am sure that as I bring these projects to completion, that worth will become apparent to many more people. Maybe even you? It may have taken a while, and I may have a hundred things happening at once, but I'm writing again. With 4500 words in Devil in the Church written and untouched since I returned to employment, I've been writing poems and lyrics and have now started something entirely different for me to build up to getting back to "Devil": a romance novel.

It's called "An Odd Romance" and (not being a reader of the genre) I think it's a little different to most. It's not autobiographical (because I am the very LAST person to look to for relationship success), but it may draw on one or two experiences I've had. In a round-about not-true-to-life way.

Anyway, keep an eye on it. It's planned, plotted and writing has started.
